J.M. Ian Glenroy was a graduate of the School of Hygiene, University of Toronto in 1951 and served several terms as president of the Ontario Veterinary Association and the Ontario Humane Society. He was Public Health Veterinarian in North York from 1951 to 1959 and Director of Food Control and Sanitation with the Toronto Department of Health from 1960 to his retirement in 1980. He established a veterinary clinic in Beaverton where he died on June 3, 1982.
